Jacquie Scoff, RDH
I graduated from B.C.C. in 1986 and have worked full time as a Dental Hygienist since then. The last 16 years have been spent working with Dr. Sostowski and a wonderful team of co-workers. Providing excellent care with a soft touch has always been my priority, and it has been my privilege to gain the trust of so many patients over the years.

It is my personal and professional commitment to Improve the oral health of the public, Advance the science of dental hygiene and to Promote the highest standard of quality care.

I am passionate about improving my skills through continuing education and sharing that knowledge with the patients entrusted to my care. In order to accomplish these goals, I have availed myself of educational opportunities through such recognized dental professionals as Dr. Larry Burnett (The Perio Institute in the state of Washington), Dr. William Dorfman (Extreme Makeovers), Dr. Paul Henny (The Pankey Institute), and Dr. Larry Rosenthal (NYU).

I also believe in commitment to the local community by participating in activities such as Dentist with a Heart Day, certifying individuals in life saving skills of CPR & AED and participating as a member of ADHA, OSAP, ASHA.
I have been involved in Dental Hygiene since 1976. I am married, have four children, two cats and a parakeet. On a personal note, I enjoy landscaping, gardening, visiting Disney and strolling the area parks for entertainment and exercise.

Dr. Sostowski and I have shared a great working relationship for the past 12 years. With knowledge from the continuing education and advanced training he provides, I am better able to assist with procedures as well as to educate and answer questions from our patients regarding their dental needs and wants. I am proud to be a part of a team that creates new smiles.

I hold a Black Belt in Taekwando and am a skin care consultant. In my spare time, I enjoy Ladies Club, a book club, spending time with our grandchildren and hanging out with my husband and the rest of our family.

I am the newest member of Dr. Sostowski’s dental team. Since I started working with Dr. Sostowski, he has continued to educate me about the most advanced dental procedures; making my capabilities as a dental assistant much greater and better able to meet our patients needs. I am truly grateful to be part of such a warm and caring dental team that enhances each patient’s life with a healthy, beautiful smile.

My interests outside the office include spending time with my family, golfing, reading and gardening.

I have had the opportunity since 1976 to work with dentists in Rochester, NY and Broome County. For me, dentistry is more that a job, it’s a career that I feel passionately about. The continuing education required in dentistry is a valuable form of growth not only for me, but also for what I can pass on to my patients. Dentistry has given me the opportunity to make a difference in peoples’ lives on a daily basis. Dr. Sostowski’s office is a perfect example where lives are changed one smile at a time.

I have advanced training and experience in cosmetic dentistry, LVI Smile Design and Britesmile. I have had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Cosmetic Dentists, General Dentists, Oral Surgeons and Orthodontist. I am a graduate of Mandel School of Dental Assisting- Hempstead, NY and Broome Community College- Binghamton NY. I an a New York State licensed dental assistant, with National Certification (DANB) in Chair side Dental Assisting (CDA), Radiation Health & Safety (RHS), Safety Infection Control (ICE), and Dental Business Office Specialist as well as CPR/AED Certified. I am a participating member of DANB, OSHA, OSAP, and Dentist with a Heart Day. I am married and have two children, three cats, a Labrador Retriever and a Chihuahua (grand dog). I enjoy knitting, cross-stitching and reading.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Sostowski for over 18 years. Most of my education and experience involves the administrative aspects of the dental practice. However, the most exciting part of working in the dental field is the beautiful smiles we create! Dr. Sostowski and his entire staff are highly trained and truly care that each patient has a comfortable, pleasant visit.

My hobbies include; reading, cooking, gardening, volunteer work with the Lymphoma and Cancer Societies, and most importantly spending time with my family.
